Unable to visit our office? No problem. When you are unable to visit our office for pediatric care, or are running short on time, you can now take advantage of our Tele-Health services. The exceptional team at Los Gatos Pediatrics now offers tele-health pediatric visits to new and existing patients.

We are still in our offices providing direct pediatric care but if your concerns can be addressed remotely or if you would prefer not to come into the office, just let us know and we will set up a Tele-Health pediatric visit for you next appointment.

What is a Tele-Health Pediatric Visit?

Tele-Health appointments are virtual pediatric visits via videoconferencing with your pediatrician at Los Gatos Pediatric. Your child can receive medical care, and medical prescriptions all from the comfort of your own home.

How does Tele-Health Pediatric Visits work?

When you call our office to request Tele-Health services, our receptionist will screen to make sure that Tele-Health services are appropriate for your child’s medical needs. If Tele-Health is appropriate, then an appointment will be set via videoconference.

We can use Zoom, Face Time and Doximity.

How should I prepare for my child’s Tele-Health visit?

  • Make sure you are located in a place with good Wi-Fi reception so that you have the best video and audio connection with your pediatrician.
  • Run a test on your system prior to your visit.
  • Be on time for your appointment.
  • Provide as much information as possible regarding your child’s condition prior to the Tele-Health visit.

Is Tele-Health HIPPA-compliant?

HIPAA is a law that protects the privacy of your medical records and personal health information. Your Tele-Health interactions are also secure, and only authorized users can access your Tele-Health sessions.

How do I cancel my child’s Tele-Health visit?

To cancel or change the time of the appointment, simply call our office. Please contact our office at least 2 hours to cancel.

Is Tele-Health right for my child?

For most routine situations, Tele-Health provides a quick, efficient and safe way to provide pediatric care.

In some situations, it will not be appropriate to use Tele-Health services to care for your child and we will request that you come to the office. For example, if your child is suffering from ear pain, we may not be able to make an accurate diagnosis without seeing the patient in-person.

In a medical emergency, however, Call 911, seek care at your local urgent care facility or hospital emergency department.
