We are excited to announce that we have decided to join the network of physicians with The University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) Benioff Children’s Hospital. This affiliation will permit Los Gatos Pediatrics to modernize our office so we can offer the most up to date and comprehensive medical care possible. The most important change will be the introduction of the widely used Electronic Medical Health records called Epic. Using Epic will enable us to connect electronically with other hospitals and laboratories including UCSF, Stanford University, El Camino Hospital, Kaiser Hospital, Labcorp and Quest Diagnostics. This will allow us to be aware of the medical care received by our patients outside of our office, including visits to specialists and emergency rooms locally.  The patient portal is called My Chart where parents can access information from recent visits, immunization histories, as well as any recent lab work. Epic will also allow us to send prescriptions electronically to pharmacies so that you will not have to make two trips to the pharmacy to obtain needed medications.

To receive the most benefit of this electronic health records system, we strongly encourage all of our patients to enroll in   My Chart.  At your next visit you may be asked to provide us with current contact numbers and an email address so that we can start using this new electronic health records software to its fullest benefit. 

The partnership will also allow us to accept plans from more insurance companies, as UCSF has a much larger network. To ensure that we will be in-network for your insurance plan, please call your insurance company and ask if “Bay Children’s Physicians” is in your network.  The tax ID number is 47-1370520.

Please be assured that after this transformation, Los Gatos Pediatrics will continue to offer the same high quality pediatric medical care, in the same location, and with the same doctors that we have had for the last 25+ years.  We are very excited to make these important changes, and we hope you and your family will appreciate and welcome them as well.
